Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

Decent food, fun atmosphere. If you are traveling through the area, be aware that the hotness ratings are based on Midwesterners raised on steak, potatoes, and corn. The hottest sauce combo on their list produced a warm glow and only made my nose think of running. But it's good food.

Rigid rules that won't allow a customer order from the children's menu after weight loss surgery. I have a stomach the size of an egg and they will charge me $10.00 for lunch that I can eat less than 1/2 cup of.

UH-MAZING! Love it.

There are three main things that you need to know about what your HuHot experience will be like: 1. You are going to have a tasty meal. 2. You will eat too much. 3. You will have some pretty nasty smelling gas a few hours after leaving. If the second two on the list above are deal breakers for you, stay away, but if you like to eat a lot and can deal with the gas, a visit to HuHot is well worth it. HuHot is a Mongolian BBQ and as far as I'm aware, is much like any other Mongolian BBQ you may have been to. For those not familiar with this style of restaurant, it is basically a buffet style, build-your-own Asian meal. Instead of a typical buffet where you choose among different dishes, you are choosing ingredients that are all then grilled while you watch on a large communal grill in the middle of the restaurant. As you walk through the line, you select from different meat options (usually chicken, beef, pork, and fish) as well as noodles, veggies, and then top it off with their sauces and oils. Being a vegetarian, I can't comment on the meat options directly, but everything looks good and others I've gone with have had good things to say about them. That being said, HuHot is a great option for who abstain from eating meat as everything else is fair game. You can easily load up on noodles and veggies to build a substantial meal. They have a wide selection of sauces and oils ranging from mild to ungodly spicy. Be sure to add their recommended six spoonfuls of sauce/oil per bowl as things can turn out a bit dry without that much. Overall, service has been good. Buffet lines have been clean and well stocked and all ingredient options have been fresh. The grillers have always kept the lines moving smoothly. I don't think I've ever had to wait more than five minutes before my food has been ready. In the end, the beauty of HuHot is that unless you really dislike all Asian styles of food, anyone can go and get a meal they will enjoy because you get to select only the foods that you like. I honestly haven't gone with a single person who hasn't enjoyed their meal thoroughly.

We have mixed feelings about this restaurant. While the hibachi style cooking is different and fun and the atmosphere is pleasant and somewhat exciting there are some big negatives to this place that don't please us. Even though I am an intermediate chef I prefer an accomplished chef to plan and put together my meal when I go out to eat. I tried to work with their sauce recipes. One worked (spicy recipe), ok and the other failed (seafood recipe). There were two other people with me and they both were not completely happy with the flavors. For 12.95 all you can eat we think it is a bit high for a meal composed by us and carried to our table by us. Our waitress didn't do a good job explaining to us how the restaurant worked but we figured it out ok on our own. I also ordered soup which I never received. When I pointed that out she said she could get it now, after I had eaten my main dish. Not a good recovery. We think it would be a fun place for a date but for regular dining it is a poor choice. One of the chefs was entertaining and working hard and helped to make our experience a little better. Some other problems were: *small bowls that do not hold a good quantity of food and food was falling on the floor because of it. *sauces gathered buffet style causing sauces to drip into one another. Very messy. *Being told by one of the chefs that they were going to clean the grill now suggesting that I ought not decide to put together another dish. It was closing but seriously not a good move. "The shrimp was of basic low quality and small size. Which makes me wonder about the quality of the beef and chicken. *some of the selections were not labeled and I saw some people asking what some of them were. This restaurant barely reaches 2 stars for me. We will most likely never eat at HuHot again.

Food was great, but we had reservations for a large group and ended up having to wait over an hour to get seated. It they had a full bar, it would of made waiting somewhat better. The food was great however, and I'd go back again. Probably not on a Friday night though.

For Sioux Falls, this is one of the best. In Comparison to other similar restaurants I have been to? Well if you have a BD mongolian close by I would take it over this. Why? More choices. More meat! And odd thing why is the all the meat frozen? Anyway good service and a tasty meal.

It is ok if you haven't tried anything else in your life. First of all, if you freeze your meat before cooking it, that should tell you off the bat that its going to not be as good. Fresh meat is always the best. Coming from California I have tried many Mongolian grills and many use fresh meat. Taste way better and cost the same. My review of this place I would not come back just cause of the quality of food is not good. Other than that service was good and polite staff.

For the most part its great but feel like they changed their sauces again.

Food was very good, however unlike the Hu-Hot on the East side of town, this one was very dirty! From the bathrooms, slippery floors, sticky tables, to the napkins on the floor in the entrance.

They have a good selection of meat options however they lacked lamb. Typical vegetables as well as three types of noodles. The only qualm I had with the general experience was with the sauces. They have premixed sauces which are good however they don't have just soy sauce which makes it difficult if one wishes to have more of just soy sauce for the cooking. There is however soy sauce at the tables, but it isn't quite the same. There is sesame in the sesame oil, but there is not a separate bowl of sesame seeds which was unfortunate. Our waitress was nice and attentive, however the meal stated it included an option of soup or salad and she never asked which we would like. It is likely that I could have mentioned it, however if I had not read it on the menu I might not have known that option existed as it was never brought forth. We went on a busy night and it was good to see that they had stocked the appropriate number of cooks so that the food was cooked in a reasonable amount of time. In short however Mongolian BBQ is fairly difficult to make badly and it is also fairly difficult to make exceptional and this was no different. The food was good, but it was not memorable. That said however if you haven't had Mongolian BBQ and want a decent place then this is a good choice considering the options available.

Not impressed. Food was bland and overpriced. If I could take home leftovers, it wouuld be different.

Normally I roll my eyes when people complain about the service and give the restaurant worse rating becauue of it, but the poor service actually did have a large impact on the overall "experience". The food was fine nothing special, the veggies are always good and seeing the cooks around the grill is entertaining, but the service was negative and rushed, the waitress was irritated because she forgot to bring a salad and we requested it, which was disappointing. So overall 2.5 stars I think

There was a lot to choose from with plenty of food, but the ultimate flavor was just okay. Probably because it was all cooked on the same surface, which mixed in a lot of flavors--it was entertaining to watch. Anyway, I had that yucky oily taste in my mouth for over an hour afterward. The place was dark and loud, the floors were slippery with food around the buffet tables, and it smelled of cooking oil. I'd go some place else.

Here are the positives: all you can eat, stir fry that's pretty good made right in front of you, and they sell beer. Here are the negatives: not a great veggie selection, super messy everywhere, and a nasty greasy floor that you can slip on easily if you aren't careful. Overall, I'd say skip it unless nothing else is filling your craving. I'd recommend the pad tai recipe. It's the best thing I found in the place.

Not the tidiest place I've ever eaten but it was an interesting experience to make your own meal. You can be your own sauce scientist.

HuHot is the place we always seem to go to when shopping in Sioux Falls. Yes when they are super - busy the place can get a little messy. A sort of build it yourself and watch them cook it buffet there's only so much they can do to clean up as the hordes of people go through the line, then back up again for seconds, thirds, etc. The selection of meats and vegetables is excellent and the food quality has never disappointed. When it comes to the sauces, what you select and in what combination will either make or break your meal. But once you find the perfect combination you are guaranteed to have a delicious lunch or dinner. As long as the guy at the grill is even semi-competant anyway. In fact the only times I have ever been disappointed with HuHot was because the person at the grill did not seem to understand how to flip or fry food. Fortunately that is the rare exception and not the rule. 4.5 stars in your book.

I highly recommend this place for family dining! For dessert they have little tabletop campfire smores for your table. My kids LOVED it! Would also be a great date idea. The food is amazing. I have been here many times and always great and speedy service!

5 for food.. Love it! 1 for staff.. WTF! Great food.. love the stir fry guys. However.. the seating staff where so problematic. I had a baby carriage and didn't want to be seated where it was loud in case she woke up and went ballistic (only thinking of your other patrons here people).. and the staff told me there weren't any good options. I actually considered maybe there were telling me to go elsewhere. I pointed out 2 places.. he said its all the same to them. I go to the booth and the waitress tells me I can't sit there because of the car seat. So we all stand there for 10 seconds staring at each other.. until I so brilliantly ask if I can put the baby car seat on the seat in the booth. "Um Sure" .. great response.. and the rest of the time she had an attitude. Perhaps next time lets be a little more directive and helpful people.. it wasn't brain surgery.... it was only a car seat and a baby..

Well, I am in Sioux Falls SD to visit my baby grand-daughter here. My daughter in law told me this was one of the places that she and my son eat out a lot at. So I figured why not. We have a similar place in both San Antonio and Austin Texas. The establishment was clean and the decor was nice. The hostess (who was also the manager) sat us at a booth and we looked over the menu. Our waitress came to our table and asked us if we had been there before. I said that I have not, and if she would kindly explain the service. She was Chey was curt, but to the point. She got our drink orders and brought my tea, soda for my daughter in law, and apple juice for my grand-baby. (though she did not bring out any sugar for the tea. (come on, I know not everyone drinks sweet tea, but a good waitress always offers) The service line was okay. The food products were well maintained (temperature wise, which is a major problem at most establishment like this.) Kudos for that. The sauce area needed some help though. (there was much spillage from one sauce container to others near it, and it looked like it had not been serviced in a while. The gentleman on the cooking station were great. Awesome personality and cooked up our plates quickly, and neatly. I have no complaints on this arena. I did order a cup of hot and sour soup to go with my dinner plate. Unfortunately this is one of my complaints. It was WAY too salt for this dish. So salty in fact that it just ruined the whole flavor experience. I had only two spoon fulls of it before turning it away. The second half of this was when I informed the server of the issue, she just asked "I guess you don't like it?" I once again said that "no, I did not like it. I was way over salted and was inedible." She shrugged her shoulders and walked away. Well, I have had my years experience working in the food service industry, and I can tell you that (if I was the chef, and or manager of this place I would be slightly put out if the staff did not approach me about the complaint so that something could be done to rectify the situation (or dish) to make the customer happy.) This was never done. Lastly was our server really did not go around the dining area to check on her patrons much. I know we were there for nearly an hour and not once did she come by and offer to refill our drinks. That is shabby service. (and it was nearly empty when we were there. ) All in all, the food was pretty good. Not great and definetly not aweful (with the exception of the soup) I can't say that I will be back here... (I will always give the place a second chance, but since I am from Texas I will have to say that it is not likely I will. Anyway, this is my Yelp review of HuHot. Kenneth Dempsey Firehouse Chef

In my reviews I have gotten to go to many Mongolian BBQ places and this one really didn't have much to excite me. I can't complain about the food (much) of course cause I put that together, but the choices I had to make my food weren't the best I've seen and I followed a recipe for a sauce and it turned out kinda bland. The service was okay, nothing to write home about. Overall I'd rather go back to one of the other similar places I've been this year, but if this was my only choice I'd return.

Many people seem to like HuHot. I find rather overated. It is overpriced and line takes quite a bit of time. The real problem is trying to find the right combination of items.

Tom did a great job with being welcoming as I walked in 10 min to closing. He was super nice and explained how you order ( I had never been there before). The chefs on the other hand, seemed to be pissed that I had to come in so late. In their defense, I have worked in jobs where I loathed people coming in just before close too. I was only getting takeout and was out of their hair in 15 minutes. Food was so/so- It was the end of the night so it looked like some things hadn't been refreshed lately. They recommend you put ungodly amounts of sauce for flavor, but it seems a bit like overkill in regards to salt intake. It's a decent place to stop for a meal. However, I do love the concept of tailoring your meal to your liking.
